We began the meeting with a
brief introduction by Bob, K9CJ, and his experiences with RF and electronics
design. He then proposed new
technical topics such as oscillators and phased verticals to be discussed at
future meetings. Those present
showed enthusiasm for such topics
Also, in new business, K9CJ
would like to establish a new club award. The
WAUST (worked all United States Territories) will be given to members and
non-members that can confirm all US territories with no date restriction.
The concept of the award was warmly welcomed and approved by members
present. The club is asking for
assistance in designing the new award.
K9CJ is also seeking a new
meeting place for the Metro DX regular meetings.
This is a challenge for all members to give any assistance necessary in
locating a new location.
John, W9ILY, gave a report
on contesting and various results. He
commented that contest participation in our club is on the increase.
Finally, former president
