Metro DX Club Meeting

Minutes for Oct. 15th, 2010 meeting

 

Meeting was called to order by president K9MDO.

N9LAH reported on upcoming contests.

Member scores for the following contests:

CQWW- W9ILY 153 Q's, KM9M 154 Q's, N9LAH 39 Q's June VHF results- N9LAH 125 Q's, W9ILY 131 Q's, N9AKR 297 Q's ARRL DX Phone Contest- N9AKR 201 Q's, NV9X 127 Q's, AI9L 86 Q's, W9ILY 83 Q's

ARRL DX CW Contest- W9OA 1136 Q's, W9ILY 314 Q's, K9CJ 262 Q's (40 meters only), N9LAH 104 Q's, W9PDS 93 Q's, AI9L 1 Q.

K9MDO talked about the Metro Winterfest Banquet which he will see about holding at the Ashford House since everyone seemed to enjoy it there last year.

He also talked about the fact that himself, W9ILY and K9PY will be vacating the offices of President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer as of 12/31. This means that at least 3 members are needed to fill these vacancies. If no one fills these vacancies, then after 31 years of existence, Metro DX Club will have to cease to exist. Please take this very seriously and hopefully the membership will keep this club going.

The program was "Mercy Ship Liberia DXpedition"

N9ORD volunteered to bring refreshments for the November meeting.
